What is the difference between Vatic, Selkirk and JOOLA construction?
At the core level, less than the price gap suggests. Vatic runs polypropylene honeycomb on Prism and Saga and EPP foam on the V-Sol lines, which is the same architecture the $250+ paddles use. What you're paying for at $250 is usually tour sponsorship and marketing, not a fundamentally different build. Pop used to be where the expensive brands earned it, and the Tour closed that: the $109.99 Tour Elongated matches the JOOLA Perseus 16mm on Firepower, 87 apiece.
Prism or Saga for a 3.5 player?
Prism is a genuine touch and control paddle and if it's still for sale, it's a classic.
Does the CRBN lawsuit affect the V-Sol Power I already own?
Nothing has changed for a paddle you already own. The suit was filed in December 2025 and targets the V-Sol Power model specifically. I couldn't verify any docket movement since the filing, and the paddle is still for sale and still USA Pickleball certified.
Is the V-Sol Tour worth it now that it is out?
YES! It launched September 1 at $109.99 and it measures like the new top of the lineup: the highest spin numbers Vatic has posted and near-elite pop on all three shapes. My pick is the Flash.
